First Time Buyers Guide

Retail Values and Pricing

The retail values provided by the mail order companies can sometimes be misleading. They list items at their original selling price, even if the price has been reduced since then. What truly matters is your cost price and the potential profit you can make. The retail price is used by mail order companies to standardize cost values.

Stock Condition and Issues

The stock you are buying is no longer wanted by the mail order companies, often due to seasonal changes or new product lines. Expect some discrepancies such as overs, unders, incorrectly listed items, or even partial items. While these issues are rare, they are inherent to this type of purchase. We conduct item counts on parcels to minimize major problems, but we do not offer credit or refunds for missing items.

Understanding Ex Catalogue Stock

Buying ex catalogue stock differs significantly from purchasing wholesale stock from regular wholesalers. The goods are sold in mixed pallets/boxes or parcel lots, and every lot is unique.

Final Sales Policy

Please remember, all sales are final. If you buy stock and later find you cannot resell them, we cannot take the stock back.

Market Knowledge and Pricing Strategy

Knowing your market and realistic pricing is crucial. Don't rely solely on prices from single listings on eBay or Amazon. These listings may represent one-off sales or stock clearance. Always calculate an average price and determine your selling price to remain competitive.
